In my previous full-time role, I served as the Creative Director and Lead Product Designer for a large scale CRM platform for 8 years. That entailed creating a cohesive and engaging design system across multiple mediums and devices for a very diverse range of demographics. The scope and challenges involved were a blast to tackle. As that project was entering into the later stages of maturity, my wife and I entered into a new chapter of our own by being blessed with two amazing children in fourteen months. Surprise!
Ready to take on that new chapter in life, I decided to transition to part-time freelancing for a time. I wanted to enjoy my growing family for a bit, and to defragment creatively after spending so much time on a single project.
After some much needed R&R, I feel so much more refreshed now. Creatively that is. Not from a sleep standpoint. Man I wish it was also from a sleep standpoint… But I do love my kids!
